What started your passion for Hairdressing?
The ability to be hands on, creative and around people everyday. The opportunities to travel were also an attraction to the industry.

What is the best thing about your job?
Having the diversity in my clientele, meeting all kinds of people everyday is fantastic. I love the relationship that I have formed in the workplace we are a big Darwin family.

Where did you get started?
Cutting Comments in the Mall 9 years ago, I am one of the few Hairdressers in Darwin that was born & raised here.

What do you love about Darwin?
It’s my family’s home. I could never replace being this close to the water and away from the cold all year round, there is always a summer attitude here.

What are some of your biggest professional highlights?
Working with Matt Sawer & Dean from Shubui. HIS competitions. Being involved with Hair Expo & Working for Stone Island for the last 6 years have all been great elements of my career.

What is your advice to young people wanting to get into the industry?
You must have passion, passion for hair, fashion & makeup otherwise you just won't survive. Get into the industry young and do everything in your power to develop professionally. Most of all, stick out your apprenticeship it is worth it in the end.
