Let me tell you about a little bar that saved my Saturday nights.
I'll start from the beginning, I've only been in this wonderfully city of Darwin for a few months now so I fallen for all the tricks when it comes to going out. I've been to the super clubs, the overcrowded bars that smell of stale beer and the no atmosphere night spots that charge for a glass water.
I'd almost given up, I'm only one man against an entire city! And then a friend told me to go to a place called Tzar's Vodka bar to see some guys called Jaxon Shore.
At first I'll be honest, I was a little hesitant, it was basically described to me as a small back room and the end of a bar and to me that sounds like a closet not a club.
But my friend dragged me there and if it was a closet it would be one i would never come out of. (wait, did that make a sound gay?)
Jaxon Shore are serious DJ's, their set is super tight and just a huge amount of fun, i think what i liked most about it was the fact that it was in a small venue, its just one huge dance floor no one is leaning against the wall or too shy to dance because your surrounded by it. I still don't know why they have seats in this place because you don't need them, the music is just too good.
So next time you think about what to do with your Saturday night, go to the busiest street in Darwin go to one of the biggest bars and look for the small door at the back (sounds a bit like harry potter but stick with me) and come and watch the guys.
