Producer/DJ/musician Tommy Trash is on track to become one of the biggest names in Australian dance scene. His sets are almost entirely made up of his own originals, remixes and edits, with Tommy rarely playing a track in its original form.
If the sibling duo of electro house DJs the Stafford Brothers doesn’t ring a bell, then one must wonder where you’ve been hiding for the past few years. Certainly not in the clubs, where the Stafford Brothers have stamped their signature sound at the hottest club nights across the country including One Love, Kink and Platinum, and have made appearances at Summerfieldayze, Two Tribes, Future Music Festival & Parklife. In 2006 they earned themselves a #6 spot in the coveted ITM (In the Mix) Top 50 Awards.
I was lucky to get some words from Matt Stafford about their upcoming tour that is about to take place over the next two months.
What inspired you to join the dance music revolution?
Hearing a lot at school then going to raves, seeing hardcore acts and that’s when I decided I wanted to be on stage.
What do you enjoy most about coming to Darwin?
The last time we came we saw the Crocodile Farm, which was very different from anything we’ve seen before. We like Discovery as it’s a great venue, it’s right up there as the best club in the country. The venue is spaced out very well. It’s got great sound and lighting effects. Its always a great gig.
What will the Discovery club audience expect to see this time?
Loose, we intend to have a very good time with lots of antics. We will be playing tracks from our new album as well as some fresh tracks we’ve just had delivered from Europe. I hope you all enjoy…
